TV Tuner quits on AIW 8500

It starts to work then shuts down. I'm running Win XP, I have the latest DX9b and the Win Media encoder 9 installed, and I loaded the latest catalist drivers and the latest MultiMedia Center drivers and the remote wonder drivers. It's driving me crazy! TIA for any help MT

Actually its the directx 9.0b that makes tv-tuners not to work,its a known
