Default IS7 and Premiere - hangs

Need to turn off Hyperthreading to have Premiere run stable.
Hangs often with HT enabled
runs fine with HT off!

Anyone else experience this?
Is it the IS7 bios or Premiere? or is this a chicken and egg situation?

Symptoms:

with HT capturing DV video hangs in about a minute
HT off, I can capture as long as I want

Note: the Microsoft Movie Maker does capture fine with HT on, so there is
some indication that the code in Premiere 6.x may be the culprit

SOLVED.

DL and installed the latest INF chipset update from Intel.
I installed the CD verion earlier, but either it did not install or the
latest version was needed.
