Ti4600 and Ti4800
What is the difference between these two cards? According to two spec
websites they have completely identical core and memory speeds (300/650), identical feature sets and fill rates (10.4 Gig/sec). Is it like a Radeon 8500LE and 9100 thing........identical cards with different names?

I think the difference is the speed of the memory chips used and the GPU

Alot of the last 4800's that I am seeing seem to have 650MHz DDR ram as opposed to the 600 that is normally used. No other differences though as far as I can see. chris

The ti4200 just comes in 8x AGP versions
It comes in both. It also comes in 64MB and 128MB versions.

The Ti4800 is a Ti4600 with AGP8x support, which in practice makes
hardly any difference to speed as it can't fully take advantage of the bandwidth boost. Ahh, that explains it. The Radeon 9000 and 9200 share this exact same difference. Although they are both crap compared to the Ti4600/4800. Thanks.

AGPx4 and AGPx8 is the prinicipal difference.
