It appears that if you're trying to use 5.1 audio in Half-life 2 on a board
with a Realtek HD audio codec, eg the ALC882, it just aint going to work properly. There are driver issues, and they aren't yet fixed despite them being known about for some time. Bah bloody humbug. I've tried the drivers from the Gigabyte site (5.12.0.5125), and I've tried the drivers from the Realtek site (R1.27). No joy. =:-( Valve mention it he http://tinyurl.com/dda9x which points to http://support.steampowered.com/cgi-...i=&p_topview=1 -- /mel/ np: silence |
