Default 1.5GB ram dual channel

got 1.5 GB of ram in 4 sticks to use in my GA-8IPE1000-G m/b in dual channel
mode. will it work? The sticks are 2x512 and 2x256 all ddr500 so i can o/c
my P4 3GHz cpu. thanks in advance

I have a GA-8IPE1000-G Rev.3.x and the manual says that you need 4
sticks with the same specs (i.e. "the same memory size and type" - p.
15 Nr. 4) for dual channel.
So you may start with 2x512 (and try o'c) and add 2x256 later on...

I can confirm (if its anything like my Gigabyte s939) that it wont run with
3 dimms.

good job i`ve got 4 then! :-) put then all in today and - ta da - dual
channel. now for some serious overclocking!
