Default Sorry, more Ebuyer bashing

Ordered a 550w Antec psu from Ebuyer last week & they delivered the wrong
model (they sent the version with an oversized mobo connector). Easy
mistake to make, fair play, except for the fact that, in my opinion, the psu
has obviously been used before! The box is very rough & there are scratches
around the mounting holes where it's obviously been put into a PC. Judging
by the condition of the packaging, I would imagine that it's probably been
sent out to numerous other people who've also had to returned it due to it
being unsuitable for 99% of computers. Not good when you're paying over
£100 for a top-of-the-line psu.

The phones...is it just me or are the Ebuyer phone lines *constantly* busy?
Not even a "You're number #372 in the queue" message. It took me over three
hours (really) last week to get through to someone. That person just told
me to log an enote. I know the "preferred" method (for Ebuyer at least,
certainly not for the customer) is to log an enote, so I did that & it's
status was changed to "referred to management", and since then have heard
nothing. I've been trying for the last 2 and a half hours this morning to
phone them & it's still engaged. The thing is, I have a PC to build & this
is holding me up. If they can't send another (this time NEW) psu soon then
I'll need to source one from elsewhere. Of course, that question was in the
enote so hasn't been answered either.

I'm not just bashing Ebuyer for kicks, but it's extremely annoying when you
simply cannot contact anyone to *talk* about a problem. Fancy online
communications are all very well, but their system is like playing those old
e-mail strategy games, only slower. My last RMA with Ebuyer took over a
month to process (faulty mobo), but I continued to use them because of
their competitive prices & the fact that they are actually pretty good,
unless you need to make use of their "customer service" in any way. I think
I'll be going elsewhere from now on.

Bad form replying to my own post, but it's now 3:30pm & I've been phoning
approx every 10 minutes since 9am and the line is still busy. Nice.

I once had a problem and they didn't reply for a month after which i sent
another e-note and it was sorted no problems. Although this is unacceptable
obviously it proves things do get sorted eventually.

Used them twice and had loads of trouble second time!
Never have used them since and never will! I'd rather give my money to
another vendor!!

JAM.
