Default o/c 2400 on Msi 745

i've successfully o/c'd a 2400 from 15 x 133 -- 15 x 155 = 2325.
i've now used the wire trick to access the lower multipliers and have got to
12.5 x 166 = 2075.

Problem now is the fsb won't go above 168 on any multiplier without 3dmark
or aquamark failing or even xp crashing to a corrupt file problem.
Now i've seen a few sites/reviews where people have successfully used fsb in
the 180's on this mobo.
CPU temperature is around 41c. I've tried increasing core from 1.6 to 1.75v
and memory from 2.6 to 2.7v. i've also tried setting the memory to slowest
settings

Anyone got any ideas what else i can try?

Win XP Pro Sp1
AMD XP2400
MSI 745 Ultra
Crucial Pc3200 cas 3
Hercules GeForce3
Seagate Barracuda 120Gb
350Watt psu

Regards
Glenn

What's the date code on your 2400? I've got a week 40 2400 in
the new organic package, and suspect it's a locked version. My
MB is an Asus A7V133-C; it's happily doing 2 Ghz now but I
wouldn't mind pushing it a little higher. However, any changes
to FSB settings won't boot at all.

i bought the processor in July so it's unlocked. i can change the fsb and
multiplier.

Your fsb should be ok to change, regardless of production week.
