Default ATHLON 2400 is NOT a 2.4!!

Just out of interest, for all those who keep saying that an ATHLON 2400+ is a
2.4.
Wrong,it is 2GHz.
There never was and will never be an ATHLON 2400+ that is 2.4.
I keep seeing a 1700 advertised as being 1.7,a 2400 as being 2.4 and so on.

Your powers of observation are worthy of Inspector Cluseau.
I don't know of anyone who says a XP2400+ runs at 2400 MHz. Certainly
nobody in this NG. Perhaps you should do a bit more research before you
state the obvious.

AMD ATHLON XP 2400 /266 FSB PROCESSOR CPU
Specifications:
CPU: 2.0 GHz
Type: XP 2400 Thoroughbred
Cache: 256K
BUS: 266MHz
Socket A

Thank god there is someone like you to debate the PR system..
Ohh wait, you didnt say PR system.. did you know that's what it is
"Pentim Rating" system..
Some people are too stoopid to understand the PR system, just like some
people think Intel 1.7ghz's run as fast as a p4 (the ee one with ht and the
large cache).. But you have morons who will say such things..
Anyhow.. Why did it only take you 2 months to figgure this out

LOL, Stupid?

Umm, yeah you can say that again quietly to yourself.

Pentium Rating? PR has nothing to do with a Pentium made by Intel. Its a
Performance Rating that compares itself to an earlier base design, I believe
the Thunderbird.

No ****..
Pentium Rating was the same thing..
Done by Cyrix, doing the exact same type of comparision..
AMD cant call it a "Pentium" Rating because there is this little Trademark
issue

Now when AMD had the PR75 that was the "Pentium Rating 75" to say it was
just as good as a p75
now they have the 3200+ PR "Performance Rating" and they use that as a
selling point to compare it to a p4 3200..

Call it what you will, If you cant see that it's the same thing with a name
change for legal reasons then so be it I am the moron.. If you can see it
however then YOU are the moron..
