Default is it possible to flash a motherboard?

I wonder if it is possible - and any point in upgrading "software" the
motherboard the same way as with bios?

Thanks for informative help.

What software? The motherboard doesn't contain software. The only item you
can flash on the motherboard I know about is the BIOS code.

Well, he might be refering to onboard items like VGA, sound,
etc, etc. The only reason to 'upgrade' any of these would be if
the OS is changed.

Look for firmware updates for the motherboard and or onboard hardware.

Ah, I see. Yes, that's true.
