Default Problem with Liteon combo drive

My Liteon LTC-48161H, which is a combo cdrw/dvd drive, won't play
DVD's any more. It reads and plays any other disk but when I put in a
DVD it just makes odd noises and then finally stops trying to read it
completely. Contents of drive after that shows no disk in the player
even though there is a DVD disk there. I took it out and put in
another Liteon DVD drive I have and it played the DVD's fine. Anyone
know what the issue might be? I'm thinking I have to get an RMA from
Liteon shudder.
