Default Media for Gateways current double layer dvd burners?

Can anyone tell me what media works well with the double layer burners
(DVD) that Gateway is putting in their new computers now? What brands
work well and what brands not so well.

If you can, find out who the drive manufacturers are then, go to their web
site. They will usually list specific manufacturer's products that they
have successfully tested.

While every model of drive has its preferences. Media made by a Japanese
company called Taiyo Yuden is widely regarded as some of the most
compatible and high quality. You can buy them through internet
retailors or under a number of name brands. The Fugifilm cakeboxes that
are marked "Made in Japan" that I buy at my local Best Buy are Taiyo Yuden.

As important as media, is the quality of the drive itself and the
software one uses.
