Default Media Center File player fails

I have Windows XP Pro and I have installed a Radeon 9200 128MB. I have even
just tried a Radeon 9800 256MB card and I am getting the same problem where
the ATI File Player will not work. I can record in AVI, MPG2, and ATIVCR
format fine but when I use file player to play back the files everything is
extremely jerky for about 15 seconds, then CRASH.

In my Event Viewer log I see a references that ATI file player crashed and
says that it caused an error in lmpgad.ax which is a codec. Does anyone
else seem to have this problem?

Asus A8V
Athlon 64 3200+
Radeon 9600 256MB
(Even tried an 9200 128 MB)
512 PC3200 Memory
200 GB SATA Seagate Drive.
