Default Abit Bios Update Problem

The other day I added another 200gb sata drive and then decided to
update the bios on my Abit UL8 mb. Since then I can't get the pc to
boot. I've reset CMOS, removed the battery and reset CMOS, one memory
stick or both memory sticks, safe settings, optimal settings and rolled
back the bios from 12 to 10. The symptoms are either a check sum error
on CMOS or upon discovery of the IDE drives the systems hangs.

My system has Abit UL8 mb, 2gb Patriot dual channel DDR400 ram, 2 200gb
Maxtor sata drives and a PNY 6600 video card.

Power supply have enough watts for what's in the pc?

Replace the motherboard battery, clear cmos, load defaults, make sure
the ports the drives are on are enabled and, if necessary, select the
boot drive, and save the settings.
