'CPU is unworkable or has been changed'
Hi
I've got a Abit IS7-E2 mobo with a Celeron D 325 2.35GHz CPU I'm intermittently getting the following message at boot up: 'CPU is unworkable or has been changed.' If I go into the Bios it shows that the CPU has been correctly detected. After exiting BIOS Boot-up is fine. Run ABIT EQ to check CPU Temp which seems OK, maybe a little low at 43C CPU temp from BIOS PC Health Status reads 49-50c. Have cleared the CMOS to no avail. Sometimes the PC boots up with no problems. The CPU error message seems mostly to appear when powering up from cold. Could this be a Motherboard fault? Ben |

Next time it appears, go into the bios, make sure it's set correctly, than save it even if nothing has changed. Stephen -- |
