Default 6800 demos

Ive been running the 6800 demos on my 6800 GT and they are stunning however
I have trouble with the explorer demo, it runs at about 1 frame a second,
anyone else have this problem (The ship and nalu demo run fine)?

(I am running the 62.01's and have 512mb system ram)

cheers

Both the Nalu and Timbury demo's run just fine on my 6800, haven't had a
chance to get the Clear Sailing demo yet though. I'm using 61.72's, DirectX
9.0c, Gig of Ram and P4 3Gig.

Found out what the issue was (thanks to ocuk forum) had my agp aperture set
to 128mb, set it to 256 and the demo runs fine

That is interesting. I would never thought of changing the aperture size
higher like 256.

Cause that probably didn't fix it -- probably the reboot after going to his
bios fixed it. Bet if he set it back to 128, the problem would NOT come
back.

It possible. But still, I never really need to set anything higher then 64
or 128 range like Mark stated.
Today / current VGA card do not really need system memory to be reserve.
Especially with those equiped with fast CPU. I cannot say the same with
older / slower MoBo.

That also worked for me. Timbury was running very slow on my 6800 GT,
I set my arpeture to 256, and it ran just fine on the highest
settings. Thanks.
