Default Grainy Video Performance on GeForce 4 Ti 4200

After upgrading from a Kyro II board to a GF4 Ti 4200, I've noticed
that MPEG playback is relatively poor. Often, colors appear
offensively bright and the images flicker back and forth between b&w
and color. Overall, there seems to be more grain to the movies.

Has anyone else experienced color problems with video playback on a
Ti4200? How did you solve it?

Many thanks!

MSI G4Ti4200 128mb 8x VIVO 53.03dets(screw the new name) and i have no
problem at all. update the agp drivers on your mobo? reinstall whatever
moniter software you got? thing is everytime i update my drivers i gotta,
redo my moniter too...

what MPEG? if its MPEG4 stuff well then thats easy :P check your ffdshow
postprosesing settings but mpeg1/2 well... next time look for Divx or
Xvid stuff or things already in .dat format so less converting. check your
moniter settings, clean your glasses, wipe the moniter *amazing how clear it
gets, I myself have noticed on occasion*, or just drink more beer first

Try using the 45.23 driver and see if that fixes it.

Thanks very much for the advice, guys! I'll give both suggestions a
try.
