Event Viewer Log
I'm starting to believe that this is a hardware problem.
After reading about one hundred +/- posts in Google regarding the "Machine Check: Prep" problem I still haven't found the answer to this Event (as seen in Event Viewer). I am running an MSI KT8AV and an 1800+ Athlon. Without floppy or CD-R I still get the event logged. I dropped the FSB to 132 from 134. Memory is PC2700. Has this problem been solved yet? I also have another Service Event -- "Microsoft (R) Windows (R) 5.01.2600 Service Pack 1 Uniprocessor Free." -- -Doug |
