DCOM errors in my event viewer with A8NSLI Deluxe MoBO
I do have following error message in my event viewer:
The machine-default permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {BC866CF2-5486-41F7-B46B-9AA49CF3EBB1} to the user NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE SID (S-1-5-19). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. This is apparently due to the NVapp, but I do not know haow to resolve this despite my visit to microsoft FAQ site. Any help would be greatly appreciated I am using a A8NSLI deluxe MoBo with then last drivers |

Hi, I have a hardware firewall, so no security issue.
As you mentionned, this error seems harmless but I just wanted to have everything running smoothly. Thanks anyway "deus maximus" wrote in message . .. In article , says... It's not clear what causes it, but it's probably application related. I've spent some time trying to find out what it could be, but were unable to pinpoint what it is. It doesn't looks very nice, it's fairly harmless. I read a topic on a forum where someone tracked it down going months back and found out it was caused by a registry cleaner program. So it could be everything. I would like to know what causes it on my system, but I will not go trought these lenghts to find out. It doesn't cause any big problem, so I leave it at that. Nickeldome Is the firewall installed on the 'Net connection ? I still think its hackage--I got same message until I installed OS security updates and enabled firewall. -- Best Regards, |
