Default 7800GT color calibration tool ??

Does anyone know of utility program for color calibration for this
card, using a "greyscale" application (as used in graphic arts)?
Monitor is Dell 2005FPW, not that it matters so much, only to say I do
not want to use the auto adjust, etc. Also the greyscale is best way
to achieve correct color across the tonal spectrum i.e. highlights to
shadow end. I've gone thru all the "on card" tweaks, but know I can
get much better if I can find said tool. Thanks!

edde,
thanks for the reply. don't think we are going to get an answer here.
if you find, please post here, and I'll do same. i really think it is
out there, with some kind of cmyk conversion to rgb. i intend to keep
looking.

I've been conetmplating getting a hardware calibration tool as well.
Although, to be honest, using the sRGB colour setting on the monitor really
gives great results out of the box

If you've installed Adobe Photoshop you should have Adobe gamma in your
control panel -"Calibrate monitor for consistent colour and produce ICC
profile"

I don't have PhotoShop installed. Might be worth it to purchase, if
ICC profile tool is in their bottom rung version. Do you know? Thanks
for the tip!

I have Elements 2.0 that came with my Wacom pentablet... it's in that
version.

If I set my color management to the sRGB profile, and set my 2005fpw to the
sRGB color profile, I get very good results without additional calibration.
I think Dell does some in factory tweaking of the sRGB color setting for
each monitor, because I tried 3 of them, and the RGB settings for the sRGB
color preset was slightly different for each.
