Default Hercules 3D Prophet II GTS Pro AGP graphics card (Nvidia Geforce2 Pro GPU) with 64MB RAM and TV-out (s-video)

Hercules 3D Prophet II GTS Pro AGP graphics card (Nvidia Geforce2 Pro GPU)
with 64MB RAM and TV-out (s-video)
just bought one of these now afraid to plug it in as I've read conflicting
reports that suggest the card might fry my mobo.
I have a compaq presario 5000 with what i think is a UWAVE OEM mobo that
seems to have a 3.3v universal agp slot
any advice anyone?
