Default Another Office Max rebate CDRW problem - recent Kypermedia drive was substituted for some other free after rebate deal

They rejected the rebate saying it wasnt purchased on the right date.

I bought it the day it was advertised . They obviously dont know
about the substitute. Had problems with the same exact problem last
christmas with a PAC DIGITAL substitute drive which they claimed was
not postmarked in time. Theres a pattern here.

My advice question the hell out of your local office max whenever they
substitute any product in a rebate deal, that the rest of the
organization knows whats going on.

I never received my Pac Digital rebate.

Now I have to go into a huge hassle possibly to get this rebate.

If your rebate was sent to Coppell, Texas, or McAllen, Texas, or Miami,
Florida then you are dealing with Parago who handles the majority of the
OfficeMax rebate processing.....er, non-processing in your case.

You will probably get nowhere speaking with a Parago CSR. Sometimes a Parago
CSR supervisor has some common sense and intelligence and will straighten
things out for you. Unfortunately, this doesn't happen very often or often
enough when there are rebate problems.

If you bought the drive from an OfficeMax store, rather than on-line, you
might be able to go back to the store for some satisfaction. Take your
rebate submission copies, which you made...right?, with you and you may be
able to get a cash refund for the rebate amount or at least a store credit
in that amount.

Good luck!

The truth is out there. You just have to look in the right places and ask
the right questions.
