A7V8X Bios stopped updating.
Hello, I'm having problems flashing my Bios using the ASUS update software in XP. I have flashed it before but now won't upgrade past version 1009. I've tried downloading the software as a file and through the ftp in the update software but to no avail. Thanks in advance, Lee. -- www.team-chr.co.uk ICQ: 908742 __O _-\,_ (_)/ (_) |

I have the ASUS A7N8X which has a BIOS build in updater. It shows up for 2
secs during the POST (I think ALT+F2 activates it). My updater also hang but the build in works and expects the file on an A: floppy drive. Maybe that works also for the VIA versions (I have the NFORCE2). "Lee Collis" schrieb im Newsbeitrag ... Hello, I'm having problems flashing my Bios using the ASUS update software in XP. So I installed win98 and moved the files on my hard disk. I started windows in dos mode an it worked fine now. Maybe that the utility needs diskspace for decompressing the .bin file. Sascha |
