£140 is pretty damn cheap, given ATI prices... and i've seen Gainward and
MSI boards for only slightly higher prices...

.... am I reading something wrong? Where is the catch? Is there something
wrong with them?

He couldn't tell you the technical merits of Leitz and Zeiss
But he did take some photographs once.

I would assume its because dabs.com buy in huge amounts - so they get to
sell it on cheaper to the consumers - who buy more, therefore allowing the
company to buy even more - thus driving prices down.

Do you know what the clock speeds are for tha AOpen card, I couldn't find
them anywhere? The Creative Labs one has 400/700 clock speeds and claims to
be a "normal" 5900 too...

I got one about 3 weeks ago no catch. Normal clock speeds are 400 / 800 and
overclocks with aopens 52.16 drivers to ultra levels 475 / 950 with no
problems. I think it was an overbuy as they were in the clearance section
when I noticed them (almost got 9600XT but spotted this in time) there were
about 140 at the time.

Did you use any additional cooling? I just got myself a PCI-bay exhaust fan
for general hot air extraction, but I could probably manoeuvre is over the
AGP slot if necessary.

I have two case fans 1 front, one back and a 550 watt p/s with pass though
fans, 80mm cpu fan (XP 1900+) as I look now at the builtin temp monitor in
the Aopen drivers. Ambient temp is 43C and GPU core temp is 54C.

Explain PRECISELY how you measured the core temperature in 3D mode.
