I am probably going back to gigabyte...
I destroyed one of there boards once... but that was back in the windows 98 age... Everytime windows 98 crashed or hang... I tried to press the reset button but it didnt work I think... So then I had to use the power switch which was badly configured... I couldn't even turn off my computer because of the stupid sleep mode... and I beat the hell out of my pc because of noise fan trying to shake off the dust lol. So I can't really blame the gigabyte motherboard for dieing... except the stupid dual bios bull**** which didn't work... a virus probably destroyed the bios. I will look for a gigabyte motherboard which has EEPROM and a NORMAL ROM bios chip... so in case of failure a default BIOS ROM version can be used... that would be very cool. (gigabyte's award list is also pretty impressive but probably just marketing lol ) Bye, Skybuck. "Skybuck Flying" wrote in message news:... Also I am ditching thise whole idea of NFORCE 4 bull****.
I am going back to intel... hoping that more stuff works and less stuff is broken (nforce4 might just turn out to be junk as via chipset bleh ) wihihihi :P:P:P "Skybuck Flying" wrote in message news:... I'm having no problems with my board at all.
It overclocks fine, and is as stable as can be. I've always had the best luck with Asus. "Skybuck Flying" wrote in message ... Also I am ditching thise whole idea of NFORCE 4 bull****. (nforce4 might just turn out to be junk as via chipset bleh ) wihihihi :P:P:P Skybuck, your raving, now. You've posted some intelligent comments and questions on this forum, but in your current state of mind, I deduce that you're probably beyond reasoning with. Good luck in the overpriced, underperforming, overheating world of Intel with its high-priced DDR2 RAM. You'll be back . . . probably shaking your head and muttering, "WHAT in the world made me think that was a good idea???" snip Ron |

My first reaction to this: "no ****ing way" The intel motherboards at least support the damn processor. I am not going to take any chances etc... I am going to play it safe =D But I might still change my mind but dont bet on it Bye, Skybuck. |

Listen smartass. I bought a P3V4X motherboard with a via chipset which was incompatible with sb live. Now I have an SB16 and it produces crackling sound. I once had a girl over and she noticed it... now ofcourse I dont really care about that... but still... quite embarrasing don't you think hehehehehehehe lol. So when I read that these "new" motherboards of asus still don't have decent audio... and that people have problems with the onboard audio not working... and other problems with the nforce 4 stuff I say NO THANK YOU. One bad motherboard is enough for me. Next time I have a chick over I want to have splended audio lol hahahahahahaha. Bye, Skybuck =D |
