Hi,

What is the maximum CPU temperature over a 'prolonged' period over
which the Barton 2500 XP shouldnt be run ?

(I am after a quiet PC and would like to reduce the heatsink fan speed
rather than overclock.)

Cheers
TIA.

I think it's 85°C, but 70°C would seem a more reasonable figure.

You could try a heatsink with an adjustable fan speed like the Cooler Master
Aero 7, or the Zalman "flower" cu-7000, or add a fan speed adjuster to your
HSF, or underclock.
