SM Bus Controller
Never mind. It went away. Whatever......
"MiniDisc_2k2" wrote in message ... First off, I don't even know what a SM Bus Controller is, but one day Windows XP reported it as new hardware and tried to install the drivers for it. As I expected it couldn't find the drivers. I haven't installed any new hardware and my computer's working fine without the drivers installed for the hardware. It's currently listed under "Other Devices" with a question mark and exclaimation point (device is not configured properly, code 1). Exactly what is this and how can I get rid of it? It's supposedly in PCI bus 0 device 2 function 1. Current AGP/PCI specs: AGP slot: Empty PCI slot 1: BFG Asylum (GeForce 4 MX440-SE) PCI slot 2: SoundBlaster PCI512 PCI slot 3: Linksys Instant Wireless Network PCI Card (WMP11, I believe) PCI slot 4: Empty PCI slot 5: Empty Other specs: Gigabyte GA-8SQ800 1x256MB DDR400 (Corsair) Pentium 4 2.4GHz 533FSB @ 2.95GHZ (656FSB) stable Generic 56x CD-ROM Yamaha CRW3200UXZ USB CD-RW drive (24x,10x,40x) Maxtor 80GB 7200RPM 8MB Cache ATA/133 Generic 3.5" floppy Any ideas? -- MiniDisc_2k2 To reply, replace nospam.com with cox dot net. |
