Pioneer 106RD DVD Writer problem
I have a new Pioneer 106RD DVD Writer. It continually "blue screens" the
system, with an error message of "irq less than equal" (I think!). It is on its own as master on the 2nd channel. I have tried turning off DMA on the chanel, and tried another IDE cable. It does this every 2nd DVD or CD write or so. There are no other programs runing (including AV). This is normally a very stable system. Hardware as follows Gigabyte motherboard. Dual P3 1ghz CPUs. 3 sticks of 256MB ram, nvidia graphics card, realtek network card, WD 80 gig hard drive, no usb in use, system is well cooled. I haven't upgraded the firmware tof he pioneer at all, as this is a drive not shown on Pioneer's website (its like the AO6 I'm told). Now in the bios, I can set to "plug and play" or non plug and play, but I can't see how to alter the irq of the pioneer (if that is the problem). thanks |
