Pioneer DVD writer
Anyone know what's the better and newer DVD writer, the Pioneer DVR 106 or
the Pioneer DVR A06. By the specs on the Pioneer website they seem almost identical. Any insight would be appreciated, thanks!

They are identical. In fact once you update the firmware on the A06 it will
be identified as a 106D. If you're thinking of buying, look for the Pioneer A07 instead, or the NEC ND-2500. They are the new drives to beat for burn quality and media compatibility.
