Default 7vaxp bios setting?

what's the best bios setting for my 7VAXP if I use it for Home
theater(whatching dvd movie)?
Movie were always scratchin' 'till I disable Smart function and voilą! now
movies are very good but not at the best,there are still some problem.
My sistem is
7vaxp(bios f14 and latest via driver)
athlon 2100+
2x256 mb twinmos
hd IBM dtla 30gb uata 100
dvd lg 16x 48x
plextor 12\10\32 A
Sapphire radeon 9700 pro
sblaster audigy 2

Can someone tell me what to do to optimize my system?
