Default 7vaxp ultra + Sata Seagate 120gb (hard disk dated 7/11/2003)

Has anyone make the above compo to work using the onboard silicon
image controller?. The bios of the onboard controller is rather
old(4.1.35c) while the newest available is 4.2.15. I hope gigabyte
delivers a new bios soon cause bios flashing(using silicon image
utilities) works only for pci sata controllers(not onboard).
