Default Promise TX2 Ultra causes hang on boot

Anytime I install the Ultra 133 TX2 card in my HP Vectra VL5 Series 3 it
hangs on boot up when the card should be searching for the hard drive. I
have tried different PCI slots with no luck.

I tried the following BIOS settings:

PNP Initialization: FULL and OFF
IDE controller: INTEGRATED and CONTROLLER CARD

Still same results.

There are other BIOS settings for:

SCSI BIOS ROM ADDRESS
SCSI BIOS SHADOWING

that I cannot change for some reason.

Please let me know what I should try to get the card working.

Thanks,
Charlie
