To see the video on tv is important to reduce the hardware accelleration.

In what circumstance? And with what graphic card? I've owned several
TV-out capable cards from various manufacturers over the years and none
of them ever needed any hardware acceleration reducing for TV. Or for
any other function for that matter.

Oh right, you are referring to your earlier post about video overlays
not showing on clone desktops.

You are right. Reducing HW acceleration turns off video OVERLAYs (which
is the most efficient way of rendering video on screen) and draws video
windows as part of the desktop. In which case they will appear on clone
displays aswell. But doing that will also hurt your other graphic
functions and reduce overall performance.

The full screen device thing (I suggested earlier) isn't a suitable
solution for you?
