Default Soyo VIA 600 board on sale this weekend at Newegg - its listed at $55 and but mentions a rebate $10 - net $45 (US buyers)

Dont know anything about the board but what Ive just read at the site.
Sure seems like a decent deal for a cheap board if you are looking for
one.

Has IDE AND sata raid I think for that price.
And sound of course and network stuff builtin No built-in video
though.

Some people have griped about getting SOYO rebates. I have no
experience about that. SOYO does seem to be really pushing rebates
recently. THey were the ones offering a rebate at MWAVE for their
micro atx board with builtin video - FREE after rebate if you bought
a CPU with it. You got $50 back.

I also got my Philips HDTV rebate $100 within 2 months !!!!
If Philips and Compusa run another deal like that - jump on it.
HDTV 27" for 449 ! Sure its 4:3 but way way way cheaper than most of
the cheapest HDTVs though there are few that get down into the $580
range or so , I think it was RCA or something at CC.

Im really surprised Philips responded so quickly and painlessly since
it was a large rebate and since Im really getting the run around at
Kingston and Canon recently.
