Internet statistics under WinXP

I recently moved to WinXP and installed a router to connect 2 PCs to an ADSL
modem.
(Before they had Win98 and where connected with Cross-Linked cable and Win
ICS)
Now I have 2 connection icons in the notification erea - one for the Local
network and the other for the Internet connection.
The one for the Internet Connection actually shows the speed connection from
the router to the Modem (10.0 Mbps), and not the Internet connection speed.
It also shows only the recevied packets.
Is there any way to see the TRUE internet connection speed and statistics
for this connection?

What does this have to do with NVidia graphics cards?

10Mbps is the speed of the connection to the router, it is a LAN. What
is happening on the WAN is a totally separate issue, and won't be
reported on the LAN.
