Default So I've just got myself a Sapphire Radeon 9600XT

So I did it.
I've sold my old Geforce4 440mx card and bought a Sapphire Radeon 9600XT.

I've just installed it on my system, and will start testing it as soon as I
have time. Anyway, I've got a couple of questions.

When I installed the card, it shows in hardware-properties that I have two
cards - Radeon 9600 series + Radeon 9600 series (secondary).
What's this?
Also, when this secondary got installed, it was recognised by Windows98 as
"a PCI-adapter" .

There is an additional strange thing.
When I use 1152x864 resolution, it only gives me possibility to use 60hz,
while I could swear that my crappy GF4 could give me max 70hz.

What's the deal?

The secondary is your dvi port on the card as for the pci adapter part that
allows compatibility (plug n play) when there are no drivers installed

install the monitor driver for your monitor that might help also make sure
all the NVIDIA reg entries are removed from the registry

Hope this helps a little

There are various refresh force utilities for this, I use
