Default Proliant 800 Hot swap drive cage

I have just acquired a Compaq Proliant 800 with a 400 MHz PII.

I would like to know if I can replace the standard non hot swap drive cage
with a Hot swap cage from a Proliant 1600? If yes is it just a matter of
plugging in the cage?

James

Yes, you can. I did it myself with my own PL800

you will need to drill the riverts out that hold the non-HS cage in place.
Then, remove and put the cage in from the 1600 and secure with T-15 screws.
