GeForce4mx and Logitech Optical Wireless Mouse Problems
I'm seeing some very strange behavior after installing an nVidia
graphics card. I have seen these problems on 2 different machines, so let me give you the common stats between them, then I'll get to the problem. - OS: Windows 2000 (unknown service pack levels) - nVidia Graphics card (GeForce4Mx) (all updated drivers installed) - Logitech Cordless Optical Mice (pretty much no drivers, just letting windows control it) - IE6 - DualMonitor setup with 17" LCD monitors The motherboards, memory, cpu... are all different. The problem: After installing the new card and all the drivers and config utilities, IE and Explorer start to behave very strangely when you start using the mouse's scroll wheel. Scrolling up, fast or slow, and then doing _anything_ else with the mouse, even after a minute of waiting, will cause whatever page you are viewing to reload. Scrolling down, then up again (a common task that I do often) causes the browser to go back a page, and causes explorer to do something else kinda random. This has been tested for a couple of days and I'm no closer to finding an answer. Nearing the point where I will delete the nVidia drivers and return the card. Thanks, Ryan |

Put the Logitech drivers for the mouse on.

Thanks, Ryan Have you tried moving the reciever to another position? or changing transmit channel of the mouse? could be picking up interference. I have one here on a second machine and it will not work consistantly unless it is at least 4ft away from my main machine yet the one on the main machine will work near anything. -- Mark Twixt hill and high water.
