It's adds some performance improvements and the abilty to save anywhere in
the game (except it's not really enabled, but you can make it work).

It's not like you can't play it all the way through, I think I'm pretty
close to completing it, and it's slowed down in 2 places, one of them was
AFTER a monster battle with about 20 guys which was weird.

I'd like to think that like me you probably have a pretty stable system and
this game seems to seek out any weak spots on PC's and make them fall over -
1st game to really put peoples systems under stress perhaps? 50% luck, 50%
decent PC building ;-) but I suppose the truth is a mixture of the above and
the fact that any software is going to have to be pretty rock solid to work
on the thousands of different PC configurations out there. Shaun

I played it with all the medium settings and at 1024by768

Auto i beleive.

And yes it did slow down in places but i did expect that ?

Were you expecting 100fps every second of the game ?

HE HE.

For that game, yeah.

Mainly multiplayer and gameplay tweaks from what I can see, stuff like
damage vehicles can take.

Oh, and it messed up my sound and then rendered all my save games unusable
and then stopped the game loading.

So, it's kind of a poor patch.

I've had that too, and only after a large battle. I'm pretty sure it's
related to their ragdoll physics engine and corpses laying on top of each
other. As soon as the corpses started to disappear, the framerate shot back
up again from ~15fps back to the ~70fps it was before the fight.
