Default first time build- comments on components

Hello all-

I have decided to build my first computer. It will be AMD based and run XP
pro, I believe everything is compatible. This is supposed to be a middle of
the road system for family use. I tried to build it with upgradability in
mind. After doing some research, I have come up with the following list of
components (all to be purchased from Newegg):

AMD Athlon XP 2500+ "Barton", 333 FSB, 512K Cache- Retail

Asus nForce2 Ultra 400 Motherboard, Model "A7N8X Deluxe" RETAIL (on board
sound and LAN)

Two (2) Corsair Value Select 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200 - OEM
(fastest mem the board will take, under clock to match processor?)

Seagate 160GB 7200RPM IDE Hard Drive, Model ST3160021A, OEM

Leadtek A360 TD, GeForce FX 5700, 128MB DDR, 128-bit, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP,
RETAIL

Lite On Beige 52x32x52 CD-RW Drive, Model LTR-52327S BEIGE, Retail

LITE-ON 16X DVDROM, Model XJ-HD166/XJ-HD165H, Retail

Lite-On Model# HT 761B (Beige)ATX Case w/ 400W P4 Ready Power Supply and
Front USB Ports - Retail. (AMD recommended)

The above, XP pro, a few miscellaneous items and shipping comes in at just
over $1000 USD. I don't want to spend much more than that.

Thanks for you attention, any and all comments are appreciated.

Thanks again,

Kietz
