Default Best DRIVERS for XFX 7950GT /512M / AGP

I have read that Nvidia drivers from www.nvidia.com do NOT play nicely on
this card and that one can only use the drivers supplied by XFX. Can anyone
illuminate me on this. My XFX 7950GT / 512M /AGP will be here within the
hour via UPS.

Correct, the 7950GT AGP is a unique product offered by XFX (at least for
now). As a result, the nVidia reference drivers don't necessarily recognize
it.

XFX offers drivers with modified INF files on its web site; they are as up
to date as the nVidia reference drivers. Go to
http://www.xfxforce.com/web/support/...oductCode.jspa and select
your card's part number from the drop-down menu (should be PV-T71A-YDF3).
