Default "no video" message

I was getting a "no video" message between the Windows XP loading window and
the Welcome screen with all the drivers from 9/2006 to present and although
not a big deal was a little annoying however it would always bootup to the
desktop. The 8/22/06 drivers solved that problem . Has anyone else
experienced this and is there any explanation? I am using a Radeon 9800 Pro,
19" LCD monitor with the dvi input, 1280x1024 res. and highest (32bit)
quality.

This is an Nvidia Newsgroup. You own an ATI card. Do you see a disconnect?
