Default slow video playback

I have a laptop with an nvidia FX Go5200 card.
I have downloaded some Oblivion demo movies, each approx. 50MB in size.
When I open a movie, it will play just fine. When I open a second
movie, the second one will play very slow. When I change the XP video
settings from 16bit to 32 , or the other way round, video will again be
optimal, until I load a second movie.
My guess is it is a memory issue. Does anybody know how to change the
settings to avoid this problem?

Kind regards,
Ivan

What format are the movies in? A least one Mpeg 4 codec (such as DivX or
XviD) had a bug exactly as you describe...

Try updating your video driver. That's what solved this problem for me with
a Radeon card.
