slow video playback
I have a laptop with an nvidia FX Go5200 card.
I have downloaded some Oblivion demo movies, each approx. 50MB in size. When I open a movie, it will play just fine. When I open a second movie, the second one will play very slow. When I change the XP video settings from 16bit to 32 , or the other way round, video will again be optimal, until I load a second movie. My guess is it is a memory issue. Does anybody know how to change the settings to avoid this problem? Kind regards, Ivan |

A least one Mpeg 4 codec (such as DivX or XviD) had a bug exactly as you describe... |

Try updating your video driver. That's what solved this problem for me with
a Radeon card. DaveL "Ivan" wrote in message oups.com... codec is Windows Media Video V7 The problem occurs in Windows Media Player 9 AND in Realplayer 10. |
