Default 7800 GTX Problem

Hello,

Just installed nvidia 7800 gtx card into new computer I built. Problem is
that when I installed drivers the monitor goes black. Only way the computer
will function is when I disable the video adapter. At this point I can
forget putting in the second card and going SLI. Any advice???

Have you tried using the other card in single-mode?

Of course. If you can't make it work with one card, then what's the
point of potentially jeopardizing two ?

Any advice???

You have some form of operator, build or configuration error, if
Windows Desktop looks OK before installing the drivers.

Since you failed to describe any other elements of your system, we
flounder in our assistance to you.
