E8400 multiplier = 9x USD179.99 @ newegg (7/21/08)
E8500 multiplier = 9.5x USD199.99 @ newegg (7/21/08) Which one is possible to overclock higher using ASUS P5Q-E? Thanks |

E8400 vs E8500 for overclocking

The 9.5x, however, will give you more CPU clock speed, whilst keeping the rest of the system that little bit lower. JW |
