Default Card Reader

I work in food service and have a card reader on the computer as a way
to keep a count of students that come through the door. About every 6
months or so, I have to send it in to get refurbished and cleaned.
This is normal, considering there are about 1,000 students running
cards each day. I have been sending it to XICO for repairs, but they
informed me that it was only as a "favor", and basically indicated
that I wasn't worth their time. Does anyone know about any other
companies that would be willing to repair this for me? I would like
to find a company willing to work with me, and not just consider me a
"favor". Thank you for your help in this matter.
