Removing a hard drive/adding a cd writer

om... I just inherited a faster more powerful computer. I took out one of the hard drives and added my cd writer. Windows will now not start. It started before the cd writer(without the hard drive). I have not yet gone into the bios, that just makes me nervous. Please help! Have you set the CD writer as master/slave ?
