Old PB and Win XP
Hi Don't know if this was ever tried. I have Windows XP and I'd like to try and get it on my old PB set........if possible It's a PB with the old, 68X series motherboard....Currently, there is Win ME on it. It has a Powerleap adapter, running at 400 mhz, 128 meg EDO, an 8.4 gig HD, 2 USB ports, an RCAport and an S-video port . Is it possible? Any help pointers would sure be appreciated. Thanks Bill |

Old PB and Win XP
If you do manage to get XP installed, it will run very slowly on a system with
limited memory and processor speed. A typical XP install will also chew up a lot of the hard drive's capacity. I'm pretty sure that XP has drivers to match the motherboard chipset, but presence or absence of drivers for the on-board graphics may make or break an XP install. I recommend Windows 2000 for older computers. Much leaner and meaner, but missing the glitz of XP... Ben Myers On 22 Nov 2005 01:53:47 -0800, wrote: Hi Don't know if this was ever tried.
