Default Seagate "hybrid" SSD + HD interesting

Just like various people suggest using C: drive as SSD and putting your data on an HD "D:" drive, Seagate for a couple of years has had a hybrid drive, but with only about 9 (! not 90 but nine) GB SSD that is 'read only' and a traditional mechanical HD for the 1T or so storage.

I read some reviews on Amazon.com and they are favorable, by and large, unless you are unlucky enough to use a Apple OS where there's a bug in the driver and it causes instability.

Anybody use one of these hybrid drives? Performance, from an AnandTech article, is about half way between a pure SSD and a pure HD.

I have a hybrid drive in my laptop and I have not any trouble with at
all. It boots windows 7 with office and other stuff from cold in about
48 seconds, so I'm not complaining about that.
