Does anyone know which PCI-Express nVidia cards have drivers that will
work with Suse Linux? I am upgrading my POS ATI RX 300 and want an
nVidia card.

On my mom's new System, Monarch recommended a GeForce4 system. I prepared
myself for the install by looking up all the inofrmation on it, for
example, www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=45953 -

However, when I installed 9.2, everything came up.

I had to enable 3d in the SAX2 portion of the setup, but then I did a few
other tweaks as well. She's got a 19" Acer Flat Panel monitor and super
hi-res colors at 1600x1200.

Works like a charm.

You'll need to have the kernel source installed as well as it'll need
to compile a driver.

Or did you run a YOU to get the ones from Suse?

Even a quick google:

Results 1 - 10 of about 78,500 for nvidia+drivers+Suse. (0.34 seconds)

I am sure the answer is in there somewhere.

.... depends on the vendor. the maker of my nvidia
6200 is eVGA, who only supplies drivers for that
other OS. but since it's an nvidia-based card, i
just use the drivers from NVIDIA. and in my case,
with gentoo, i just 'emerge nvidia*' packages.
with other distros, i just use whatever facilities
they have to install the driver.

Check the Suse hardware database.

Then, go to the nvidia site, there's complete instructions, and a
special set for Suse users.
