Dolphin "Special Care" Bathrooms
These people target the Elderly and Infirm with offers of over-priced
bathrooms, and then seem only to give them bad advice and poor service. Here is an example of their behaviour: http://home.btconnect.com/tg/dolphin.htm Does anyone else have similar experience with these people? |

They don't use standard connectors meaning that to upgrade the bath mat it requires a new shower head, taps and usually a plug. I know they only assembly and don't make the units themselves but they are made by external companies to their spec. On top of that the design makes putting a decent fan and heat sink on a problem as it interfeers with the bidet rim. They also swap round the wiring to the pumps so when the power shower breaks down you have to re-wire your entire house and change the local sub station (this can usually be done fairly easily but may require some cutting in to the foundation concrete to make it fit). I'd recomend going to your local fair and buying the parts yourself. If may cost a little more but you can tune the hot and cold mix much better to match your needs. You also know exactly what type of water you are getting out of the unit and if you need to upgrade later (say to gold effect shower head (fnarr)) you know how everything is built. They are OK for buisness use if you just want to swap them add hoc though when they fail but not so recomended for home use.
